Cardfolio help
How do I get more accurate scans?
Recognition is reading the artwork, the name and the card number. Anything that obscures those — glare, a steep angle, a cropped edge — makes it work harder.
- Lay the card flat rather than holding it at an angle.
- Fill most of the frame with the card, with all four corners visible.
- Turn the card so glare falls off the artwork — tilting a few degrees usually clears it.
- Use even, indirect light. Overhead spotlights are the usual culprit. In a dim room use the flash button at the top of the scanner — it only appears on devices whose browser lets a web page control the light.
- Keep still for a moment once the frame locks on.
