How does condition change a card's value?

NM is the headline price. LP and HP are then scaled down from it, and how far depends on the kind of card. Light play takes roughly a tenth to a fifth off. Heavy play is where cards diverge: it takes about a third off a modern card and around half off an older one, and a heavily played older holo loses the most, because wear shows badly on foil and buyers judge vintage holos harshly.

The graded value (PSA 10, or your grading company's top grade) isn't scaled from NM: it's valued separately, as a graded copy.

One exception: bulk. A card valued at a bulk rate shows the same figure at NM, LP and HP, because bulk is bought by the lot and nobody grades it card by card.
